The University Short Film Festival acts as a powerful catalyst for culture, opening a space for collaboration between the general community, students, artists and spectators, fostering a meeting through the screening of short films for appreciation and critical evaluation. At the same time, tourism in the state is promoted by bringing national and international celebrities to participate in the festival, providing the opportunity to increase a work network beyond territorial limits from a safe environment, becoming a platform for professional development.

The sixth edition of the University Short Film Festival will be held from November 4 to 8, 2024 in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. This edition will have in-person and virtual screenings on FilminLatino.

Nuestro objetivo es difundir y promover el cine mexicano en formato de cortometraje a lo largo de la República Mexicana además de impulsar la internacionalización de los trabajos de estudiantes de cine y medios audiovisuales. Propiciar el networking entre escuelas de cine y entre estudiantes de carreras afines y generar experiencias y aprendizajes que generen una mayor vinculación universidad-industria
